Writers Guild of America-West Panel

On August 25, 2022, WGAW’s Writers Education Committee and The Civic Leadership Stories Project presented a panel exploring civic leadership character types from the local level to the federal government, focusing on common stereotypes, story ideas, and how a new generation of civic leaders are changing communities. This virtual event offered resources for stories and characters, spotlighting new ways to approach characters and storylines to help writers develop characters and narratives that are accurate and authentic, with the potential for social, political, and cultural impact.
